Gene Wie is a conductor, chamber musician and educator. His performances on violin, viola, clarinet and saxophone have taken him around the world. He served as music director of the Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California, and artistic director of the Capistrano International Chamber Music Festival, St. Margaret’s Summer Music Festival and the String4tet Initiative. He is director of the orchestras at Choate Rosemary Hallin Wallingford, Connecticut, where he conducts the symphony, concert and chamber orchestras, and teaches music history. Wie earned his MFA Music and BS Information and Computer Science degrees from the University of California at Irvine.
