Shawn Goodman-Royer is a Yamaha Performing Artist and Vandoren artist clinician. She is an assistant professor of music at Marian University in Indianapolis where she teaches clarinet and saxophone, directs the jazz band and works with pre-service music educators. Goodman-Royer is also a doctoral candidate in music education at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and has been teaching the clarinet for 25 years.
